Hi All,

I have a friend moving to Melbourne from France. He is looking for a reasonably priced hotel/apartment preferably with cooking facilities to stay in for about a month. Inner city suburbs would be nice, and probably no further than a 20 minute train ride from the city.
Any ideas?

Cheers

in sydney there are furnished apartments avaiable for backpackers. They are advertised in the backpacker street press, like tNT. try picking up one of those mags in melbourne and flicking through it, you might find the same sort of thing there.

What's your idea of reasonably priced? There are lots of serviced apartments in the $100-$150 a night range. If you want something cheaper, most of the backpackers have single and double rooms, and have communal kitchens.

Google "serviced apartments melbourne" or similar for details.
