while a friend of mine lived in japan he had a phone that would receive text messages when sent to an email address, thus getting rid of the chance of having your sending or receiving friends get charged for international txt messaging from/to their phone. however my friend doesn't remember exactly what kind of plan this might be categorized as.
anyone know what i'm talking about? i'll need to text from australia to the usa mostly.
