Hey guys

I'm travelling solo into Darwin July 14-17. Any recommendations on site seeing up there? Keen on national parks, hiking and maybe see a bit of the cultural side of life up there. Happy to pay costs if anyone, or knows anyone who would be happy to a tour guide...
Thanks and happy travels :)

Hi Craig and welcome to TT.
It depends on what you want to spend but with just three days you're probably best to look at some of the camping tours to Kakadu, three days usually the minimum and you might even be able to find one that could spend half a day at Litchfield but that will just make your trip through Kakadu more rushed and limited.
You can expect to pay somewhere around $600 for the cheapest of 3 day tours and expect to see the general countryside looking pretty dry though there'll be some good waterholes for a dip even with minimal waterfall flows.

I did Kakadu and Litchfield in three days. I recommend doing it, was one of my best experiences in Australia.

@mwoaster: Did you rent a car or join a tour?

Yes, went with Territory Expeditions. They were great.
