Hey guys,
I booked two ticket from virgin.
I will be arriving sydney domestic airport at 1655.
And my next flight is from international airport to auckland at 1850.
Is it enough time for me to transit in 2 hours, cause i have luggage and two separate ticket but both from virgin.
Im just little nervous that i might not got enough time to catch the plane.

Cheers,
Eric

You would likely be able to do it, I have, but Virgin 'recommends' checking in 90 mins before short-haul international flights (although desks only open 2 hrs beforehand). However, my preference would be three hours to allow for delays, baggage offloading and (I understand it still exists, its been a couple of years) there is still the ridiculous bus transfer between domestic and international.

As markfawkner says you should be able to do it (assuming your domestic flight is on time) - there is a train running between Domestic and International takes 2 minutes, runs about every 6 minutes -- also not sure where you are flying from to Sydney but have you checked with Virgin if you can book luggage through from your original airport (I assume not but may be worth checking) -- also make sure you have checked-in online for international flight and printed out board pass as this will make process quicker at international airport.

Although these are separate tickets, Virgin should still be able to transfer your bags direct when you check in.
Even if they cannot do this, the fact you are flying next on Virgin means you can go straight to their transfer desk and catch the bus direct to the International terminal and check in there. No need to catch the train (which, while quick and frequent, does require a lengthy walk down to to the bowels of the domestic station, and then back up at the other end)

2 hours is tight, but provided your flight is not delayed, you will make this.

As previous posters have said you should be OK, but i would explain everything to the Virgin staff when boarding your 1st flight.

The transit bus from SYD domestic to SYD international terminals that VA uses, uses the main road, so even if you get onto the bus in the secure zone of SYD domestic, gate 45/46 downstairs, your bus will go out the main road, pick up poeple from outside the T2 SYD domestic terminal, go by the main road, to SYD intenrational terminal, and plonk you outside where every one is.
VA does not have online check in for international flights, so if you an get it, plea with the airport your domestic flight departs from, if they can some how get you an international boarding pass, even if on separate tickets. Also ask if they can onsend your baggage so you don't have to pick it up at SYD domestic.
2 hrs, especially if you have to line up at SYD international for showing passport for scanning, and getting a boarding pass, can take a while.
Ideally, I would have a more time between flights.
I have done the SYD domestic to international with VA and VA to NZ, but always on a linked ticket.
Try to get a link, if at all possible for your international VA flight at your domestic departure point.

If yours is VA657 from CBD to SYD, todays flight on that route has been cancelled.
See if this happened on our day to AKL!!!!!!!!
