Trang to Koh Lanta

Hi,

What's the cheapest way to get to Koh Lanta from Trang? We will be staying at Ko Tarutao for few days and we don't want to take the ferry from there to Koh Lanta but prefer over land journey.

I just left Koh Lipe in the Tarutoa national park to Phuket and it cost me 1050 bt by boat and mini bus.
Not sure how much to Lanta but it's a lot less distance so I imagine less than that. By ferryi was quoted 1700 bt to lanta

It's not really about money. I read some really bad reviews about the ferry service between Tarutao and Ko Lanta. We don't want to be stuck on a boat for 6 hours or more.

minibuses Trang-Lanta are about 400B, and run roughly hourly. Just ask in the travel agents near the train station. There are also minibuses from the main bus station, but with those, you might have to buy an extra seat for your big-bag.

btw, the port that usually serves Ko Tarutao is Pak Bara, not Trang. There are likely mini-buses from there to Lanta, but I'm not certain.
