Quickest / Easiest Way from Bangkok to Koh Phi Phi & Hotel Help

My friend and I will be heading to Koh Phi Phi from Bangkok on Thursday 2/27 or Friday 2/28 and returning either Sunday 3/2 or Monday 3/3. We are looking for the quickest and easiest way to get there. We will obviously fly from Bangkok- but is it quicker to fly to Phuket or Krabi or somewhere else and then take the ferry?

We are also looking for suggestions on places to stay on Koh Phi Phi. We are both female and in our early 30's so we don't necessarily want to stay with a bunch of 18 year olds but we definitely want to party and have a good time. We don't want to stay in a crappy hostel- definitely a 3.5 star minimum hotel and definitely on the beach. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

if you get an early flight to Krabi, there should be lots of time to get a ferry to PhiPhi. just take a taxi to the pier.

Alternatively, you could do a stop-over at West RaiLeh, which is worth seeing, then catch a ferry to PhiPhi the next AM.
