Hi
We are planning a week on Koh samui in April. There are 8 adults and two children. We are looking for accomodation on the beach and would like to know which beach you would recomend. Has to be clean clear water with soft firm sand and not too deep to quick. Also nice clean comfy place to stay with pool hot and cold water and good food.

| germanman20:27 UTC31 Jan 2007 | If you go for soft firm sand, better choose Choeng Mong than Bophut. It's a small secluded beach in the North of Samui with about 10 resorts different quality/ prices.

try Chaweng Noi, it is a lovely beach not far from bustling Chaweng, but far enough to be quiet.
I think the Newstar hotel is being renovated at the moment - Google it, you might get lucky.
