Beachfront Bungalows at Koh Samui

Hi

I am looking for beachfront bungalows in Samui either in Lamai or Chaweng beach. I dont want to break my back with expensive rates so looking at ranges upto 1700 Baht per night. Any suggestions?

Koh Samui: Lamai beach:

Sea Breeze
Mire Mare
Marina Bungalow
New Coconut Resort
Magic Resort

All have beach bungalows between 1000-1500 baht

The south end of Lamai beach has cheaper bungalows, like:

Lamai Pearl
Paradise
Amity
White sand

I don't like Chaweng. Most cheap accommodation is broken down.
The only one I know by name is: ''Your Place''
North Chaweng opposite Chaweng International Hospital,
between Corte Maltese and Amari Palm Reef Resort.
North Chaweng has still some places.

ABSOLUTE BEACHFRONT as against beach resorts with bungalow/rooms maybe behind the restaurant/pool/trees etc - fairly rare.

But check the pix of NEW HUT on Lamai about 25% down page here http://tezzasthaiinfo.blogspot.com/2009/08/samui.html - those are their least expensive bungalow, but they have more expensive ones a bit to the left - still way below your upper limit.
