I've managed to find only one YouTube video of someone traveling 3rd class. It wasn't to Hat Yai though, but rather some short trip. Fan...wooden chair - sounds horrible....but is it really?

I wanted to ask the same question that has some older posts about traveling from Siem Reap to Ko Samet. Is it still easy/reasonably cheap by cab, going to Poipet and crossing there into Thailand, and then getting another cab to go to Ko Samet?

2 full days in Bangkok
1 day with transfer flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai
2 full days in Chiang Mai
1 day with transfer from Chiang Mai to Krabi
4 full days in Krabi with Ao Nang as a base for island hopping
1 day with transfer from Krabi to Bangkok
1 full day in Bangkok for some shopping before heading home

Hi. Have my ticket to Bangkok at end of May. Ultimately want to go to Cambodia, but would great to have a nice scenic trip through Thailand to get there.

I'm going to be in Thailand for a couple of weeks between Dec. 22 and Jan. 6 (crowded, I know, but it's the only time I have off work), and I want to spend a week on the beaches and a week in the Chiang Mai area.
I know a week isn't long to explore the various beaches and islands, so I was probably planning on hitting just two islands total. My question is which two islands I should pick, and whether I should aim for the Gulf islands or the islands around Phuket.

We are going to spend 5-6 days in Thailand at the end of a 2 week period in SE Asia. We want to avoid the crowds and have good snorkeling and good diving. After some research, I felt these three islands came closer to our ideal. I have been told the snorkeling in Lanta and Koh Kut is not great but in Koh Ngai I feel the hotel standard is lower and I am not sure the snorkeling would be much much better than Lanta or Koh Kut.

Myself and my fiancé are traveling to Phuket for Xmas for 17 days. My fiancé wants picture postcard quiet tropical beaches, away from all of all of the madness, just secluded bays, great food & drink.

Did'nt notice it, flights before always everything included. Must have changed.
48hours before flight you can pick the seats you're choice.
