What's the cheapest way to get to Koh Lanta from Trang? We will be staying at Ko Tarutao for few days and we don't want to take the ferry from there to Koh Lanta but prefer over land journey.

me and my boyfriend are planning to visit Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It is our first time and we have in total 35 days (28th March - 1 May). We are not sure about how much time is worth spending in each place but so far we have decided:

Bangkok - 5 days
Thailand islands - 13 days
Kuala Lumpur - 3 days
Bali - 10 days
Jakarta - 4 days

Someone who has visited these countries can tell us if this is a good plan?

Hi all, looking to pick your brains if I may.

Really looking for suggestion re Thailand as its been about 6 years since we were last there as a family.

We're a family of 4 from the UK. The wife and I late 40's 2 x girls 10 and 13 . We have 3 or 4 weeks from /late March to late April

Cost really is an issue for us, but we haven't been away for 4 years and don't want the girls to miss out on the travel experience, whilst they're still young enough...

I just got back from a wondeful 2 month trip through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. My trip was cut short after spending a week in Immigration Detention Centre (ie, prison) after which i was deported. I think its important people know what happened to avoid it happening to them.

Hey, I'm hoping for some suggestions for activities or places for a group of 10-15 men for a bachelors party. Anything that's not sightseeing or tours would be welcome. Can someone tell me where I can rent bikes in Ayutthaya? We would be arriving by train.

And do you know if they rent kid's bikes? Or do the adult bikes have an extra seat on the back where an extra person can sit?

One more question - anyone know what time (approximately) the earliest train leaves BKK for Ayutthaya? We will be there at the end of March, and I'd like to get there before it gets too hot.

Hello! We plan to fly into Bangkok, spend a week in Thailand, enter Myanmar for a week by land at the Kawthaung/Ranong border then reenter Thailand by land at the same place.

We will be in Southeast Asia for 3.5 weeks, flying into and leaving from Bangkok. Do we need to get some sort of re-entry visa to get back into Thailand at Ranong after a week spend in Myanmar (we already have the Myanmar visa)?
