I need to fly from Bangkok to Phuket in about 2.5 weeks (around Feb 20). Is it cheaper/easier to buy a ticket online ahead of time, or to just purchase one at the airport when I reach Bangkok? I'll stay in town about two days, so I can be flexible about my flight to Phuket. If it's better to get the ticket online, what website do you recommend for in-country flights?

Airport-Exit Fees & Transits

Flying Vanouver - Bangkok in a couple of weeks and meeting my son at the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Then we are both flying to Siem Reap. I'm not familiar with the new airport but I understand that there is a 500bt airport improvement fee to be paid on international flights. Does anyone know if this aplies to passengers in transit? If not...what is the procedure? Any and all info will be appreciated.

Thnx Murr

I can be bought, but I can't be bored.

So I will be in Thailand next month and I am trying to cut down on some costs and travel time. We want to see some beaches, but thought it may be better to check out Ho Samet rather than head down south. So can anyone fill me in on Ko Samet? Would it be a nice place to relax for 3 or 4 days? Should I bite the bullet and take a flight down south and check out some islandeaches there? Is Ko Samet a dive? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Is it easy to find adapter plugs in BKK for US plugs (2 prong flat) or European plugs (2 prong round)? This would be for use in BKK and Burma. Thanks.

Arriving Krabi Feb. 7 morning for a week on an island before we go to Laos. We liked the quiet of Koh Mak and the fact that you could walk around it. Jum seems to be that type of island or how easy is it to transport around Lanta, would it be much the same as Koh Chang. Help appreciated.

So was it just a ruse or are they now just in denial?

Suvarnabhumi: No cracks, minor damage

Engineers have examined the Suvarnabhumi Airport and found reports of damage overblown, with no cracks on runways or taxiways, it was reported on Friday.
