Hey guys!

I am planning my first trip to South East Asia from mid-April to June/July and I’m gonna be flying into Bangkok, then making my way around to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

I would like to start or end my trip in the Thai islands, so either go straight down to the islands after Bangkok, or go north to Chiang Mai and over to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, and then the islands. Thinking about the weather, I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on which I should do first and last? I know…

Hi!
I have 4 days between Siem Reap and Bangkok that I am hoping to fill with a relaxing beach trip. I am late 40s solo traveling woman, so i want to be away from the party scene, but not totally isolated. I an afford something nice, but don't want to get too crazy. Something beautiful, chill, and special. I am a little overwhelmed by the choices and would love a good recommendation!

According to an article in today's (13th Dec ) Myanmar Times - a new land border crossing is set to open between Myanmar and Thailand.
It will be situated between the town of Mese (also known as Me-se)in Myanmar and Khum Yuam in Thailand.
For anyone looking for it on a map- Mese is in Kayah State in Myanmar, to the SE of Loikaw, and Khum Yuam is in Mae Hong Son province in Thailand.
This crossing is roughly half way between the current crossing points of Tachilek / Mae Sea and Myawaddy/ Mae Sot.

Hi! My partner and i are going to travel for 3-4 months, leaving August/September 2018. Ive been researching for months but im just stuck with routes etc.

We are doing Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia.
Should we do Thailand first or start in Vietnam? It looks like, on a map, it would make more sense to do Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and then down into the rest but when i look up flights and other travel options it seems like you have to do Thailand first?

Any help?

I'm hoping to get a guidebook to Thailand's National Parks, listing what wildlife can be seen, hiking routes/wildlife viewing spots, maps, facilities.
Any ideas?
The best online info I have found is thainationalparks.com . It has the best info and is quite thorough on the major parks, but not so on some of the minor ones.
The department of national parks website used to be quite good, but changed some time recently for the worse.
I would like to get a hard copy book, made of paper, old fashioned as…

Is this doable / advisable?
According to seat 61 there are trains from Ayutthaya to Don Muang that take about an hour ... how much do these cost, and how much in advance do we need to reserve?
I'm just wondering if we should chance it catch a same-day flight out of DM (Don't want to overnight in Don Muang, or go back into Bangkok for no reason).
How straightforward is it to get from Don Muang train station to Don Muang airport? Is it walkable?
Thanks!

Hello.
Would just like to know how much I should expect to pay for a taxi from Krabi airport? Anyone know of a good service to use?
Also I think im right in saying the 2 beaches closest to Ao Nang aren't that great for swimming etc. What are my options without travelling too far? Its just a 2 week holiday, and to keep my partner from getting to bored, are there things for her to do other than sunbathing and chilling out by the pool?
Thanks for your help. Mick.
