On our recent trip (start Dec 2017) to Tarutao NP off the southern-most coast in Thailand in the Andaman Sea, I was struggling to figure out how the practicalities could be best done. So here’s an account of how it all went!

Getting to Tarutao Marine NP:
Tarutao Marine NP comprises several islands, Ko Tarutao, Lipe, Adang and Rawi being the major ones. Below is information on how to get to each of the islands. Of these, Ko Lipe and Ko Tarutao are the only islands, which are directly connected…

We are a couple due to visit Thailand in January 2018. As we are staying 34 days we have applied and paid for 60 day tourist visas which have been received from the embassy. Unfortunately my partner's christian name was spelt wrongly, so he travelled to the London Thai embassy to ask what could be done. He was told it would be fine! I am not convinced. Has anyone else had this happen to them and does anyone have any suggestions as to how to proceed if there are problems at Phuket airport…

Where to go for a really good Thai massage in Bangkok after a long day walking?

Also, where do you usually leave your wallet during the massage?

Hello, I'm taking internal flight arriving 7.25 am mid week Jan at Surat Thani airport and need to take a ferry over to Kho Phangan. When I go onto www.ferrysamui.com - there is a departure from ST airport at 8.30am which arrives at Thong Sala Pier, Kho Phangan which would be perfect as it takes only 3.5 hours. I deliberately booked a flight so I can get to my destination in Kho Phangan early.

However website tells me, "Sorry, your selected trip does not allow enough transfer time between…

Will be staying near Hua Lamphong train station for 2 days and already planning to do things nearby like Grand Palace, Wat Pho, etc. in the royal city for 1 day . For day 2, what neighborhood should I visit taking a short ride on the subway or taxi and be able to get back to my hotel the same day? Also, anyone have a simple map of the names of all the neighborhoods and the subway line's connecting to the area?

Would be intersted in night markets, night life, good food, thai boxing…

Hi All,

We will be in Thailand for 2 weeks. My route is as follows Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, Bangkok.

My sister and i are trying to determine if it's better to take US dollars with us and have in hand to use or to just withdraw money once we arrive at the airport to carry THB. What do you guys recommend? Does it make a difference budgeting wise?

Lastly, it will be both our first time in Thailand. So if you want to also let us know what are must do things in the places we will be staying, I…
