Flying in late February to Thailand / Krabi via Singapore to vacation on Koh Lanta, then thinking of staying a couple of days at Koh Kradan or Koh Muk.

Flying home with night flights from Singapore. How do I travel easiest and fastest to Singapore from Koh Kradan? Thinking about taking a boat / ferry back to Koh Lanta and then taxi to Krabi Airport. Or is it better to fly to Singapore from Langkawi? Which route is fastest?
Kind Regards
Richard

Hi all:

I would like to thank everyone in advance with helping with this question. I am asking on behalf of a friend and I am frantically attempting to research a possible solution. My friend is a Peruvian-American dual citizen (dual passport holder). She traveled to Lima for the holidays for a duration of 13 days, before catching a layover flight to Newark Liberty Airport with a final destination to Chiang Mai. However, before catching her flight, she was advised that she may not be able to…

Hi All,

I have been doing some research on open water diving shops and I have seen a complete range of prices. I am looking at shops in Koh Lak that are quoting close to $600 USD for 3.5 day courses (two of the days are diving in the similans) or $500 USD for only local reef dives. These are from very reputable dive shops

I remember seeing Koh Tao as around $300-$350 USD.

From people who have completed OW certifications, is this price justified? Seems very high for only an open water course…

Hi everyone!

I will be arriving in Phuket on the 21st Jan for 10 days. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of areas I should stay in? I have no idea!! I am coming alone so I would like to stay in a really nice hostel where I can meet people to explore Phuket and some of the surrounding islands with.

Thanks :)

Hello everyone

I plan on travelling to Thailand for 2-3 weeks in March (end of Feb - depending on what's best) and am looking for some advice since its my first time in Asia. I am an experienced female solo traveller. I recently got my Open Water certification and am looking to gain some experience and maybe do my PADI advanced.

I am therefore looking on advice on which Thai island would suit me best. I don't want to do too many different destinations, maybe 2-3? I am looking for a rather…

Asked this before but now found out we have an extra day. One of the main focus will be the diving and I'm wondering which of the listed places would be best for Discover scuba diving?

Right now we are planning on going to Phuket for 5 days/4 nights.

I'm thinking going to Phuket, then heading to Khao Luk and doing a discover scuba diving trip out from Khao Lak for the day then spend the rest on Similan and Phuket or Similan and Phi Phi?

Hi,

We are a family of 3 and the 3rd one is an almost 2 year (1y 10m) old naughty child. I have booked a place on the Klong Khong beach in Ko Lanta Yai and will be flying to Krabi around 21st Jan reaching there early morning. I do not wish to dole out stacks of cash on the private taxi but do not wish to hop around Krabi with anxious moments and race against time kind of scenarios.

If anyone can help me with a balanced way eg. taking a taxi from the airport to krabi pier and then getting the…

Thai banks are charging 220 bath for cash withdrawals and now those fees will soon be increased, just two years ago it was 150 bath. They have banded together and all the banks raise the fees at the same time so you do not have the option of using a different bank.

It amounts to almost 8 US dollars per transaction.

If you go into the bank to do an over the counter cash advance they tell you no.

I did not know about this fee before I came back after being away for about 5 years and so was…
