where is the best place to stay in Koh Samui and Chaweng beach ?

I have bben in Koh Samui and Chaweng before, but its 15 years ago :-) I belive everything is change there now.
I think we stayed in south end, and if Im not wrong, I think the center is near to the south part of Chaweng - or ??
We would like to stay near centre of Chaweng, and on the beach, with swimmingpool. Any suggestions for us ??

15 years ago? You'll be in for a surprise, I live on Samui for 11 years and I can tell it changed a lot but recently I visited Koh Lanta after 17 years and that was a shock to the system! Chaweng has plenty of option for each budget and pretty much all have swimming pools.

If you want nightlife, bars, restaurants and drinks on the beach at Happy Hour find a hotel near McDonalds/Green Mango. I found the best situated hotel was in the area of the Ark Bar and Als resort. You will not have to pay exorbitant taxi/songthew fares because everything is in walking distance.
