Hi,
My family is here visiting me in Thailand and we have booked a trip to Phi Phi from Friday 2nd Nov to Thursd 8th. We have already booked flights and paid for bungalows. However the weather does not seem to look so promising... I spent some time at Kho Pagnagn last week and that was not much fun with no sun and lots of rain. can anyone that is on Phi Phi now or around there help me out, how bad is the weather like now, is it even worth going or should we take a quite big money loss and head for Kho Chiang or Samet instead?
Thankfull for advices because i dont really know what to do... I didn't even know the weather could be that bad in the south.

Don't back out on your plans and waste a bunch of money. Also, take Thai weather forecasts with a huge lump of salt. I was on Phi Phi exactly a year ago to the day and the weather was great (pics here). Best of luck for you and your family. ;-)

I was on PhiPhi 2 weeks ago for 5 days. It was fine for 2 cloudy for 3. Rained a coupla a times. Both during the evening for a few hours.
had absolutely no impact on our enjoyment of the place.
I mean it is paradise and a littkle bit of rain makes everything smell fresher.
Forget about the weather. Just GO!

Around now is the absolutely worst time to be on Phangan so don't let your experiences there mislead you.
There is a section in the first link below on misleading nature of weather forecasts. I wouldn't worry.
