due to a daft shopping trip i think ive got to leave country 25 feb get a visa!-used 3 trips outa country on the tourist visa!anyone know what i can do?if leavin +getting visa is my only option anyone know nearest place in malaysia i can get one?best way to get there,flights are cheap from bankok but is goin all way back on myself best option(i,ll be near samui when visa runs out)?or are there just as cheap flights from phuket?is train an option?

lf your 3 x one month tourist visas are up l am afraid there is nothing for it but to leavfe the country for 90 days. ln that case Penang is the nearest consulate that can issue you a visa after your 90 days are up. The best way to get there is the overnight sleeper train from Bkk. lt gets into Hat Yai about 6 AM. lt is a slow old trip, but then again with 90 days to kill, speed is the least of your worries.

I was in the Ranong immigration office today, and it's my understanding that after you have made three entries with the free 30-day permits within a six-month period, you must get a visa to return for a fourth time during that six-month period. I don't think that you must stay out of the country for 90 days, as #1 inferred. The Thai consulate on Penang Island, Malaysia is probably your best bet; Penang easy and quick to reach by bus or train whether you are on Koh Samui or in Bangkok. There's really no reason to fly. Penang is an interesting multi-cultural island worth spending some time to see the sights.
