Your potential problems will be airline ones. "Theoretically" you require:

Arrival in Singapore - proof of onward travel out, by air, within 30 days of arrival under the visa waiver scheme for a UK national.

Arrival in Malaysia - proof of onward travel out, by air, within 90 days of arrival under the visa waiver scheme for a UK national.

Arrival in Thailand - proof of onward travel out, by air, within 15 days of arrival under the visa waiver scheme for a UK national if arriving by land or 30 days by air.

Your only problem in reality will be wether your airline from NZ will allow you to board on a one way ticket to Singapore without proof of onward travel by air. Check with them soon

If you get to Singapore and are travelling by land to Thailand you will not have a problem. The rules are not enforced by immigration but by the airlines. If any legs are by air you may have the same problem.

Often airlines will accept a ticket out of the region , even though technically it should be the country you arrive in .

Also, will i need to book visas in advance or will I be able to pick them up at the borders of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand?

You'll only need a visa to enter Thailand if you plan to stay more than 30 days if arriving by air or more than 15 days if arriving by land*, otherwise you get a visa-free stay granted on arrival (30 days, or 15 days, respectively). If you do need a visa, which will give you up to 60 days, you cannot get one at the border, and will need to get one in advance - I've got them quickly at Singapore, KL, and Penang in the past.

(And as others say, for visa-free entry you theoretically need to have evidence of onward or return travel, within 30 or 15 days as appropriate - but in practice I don't know of any borders where they actually check)

( * You can extend a visa-free stay once, for 7 days, for 1900 baht, so that might be a good option )

Visa Run Question:

I am looking to do a visa run by the 25th and will be in the Kanchanaburi area. I was hoping to do the Three Pagodas Pass but they do not allow visa runs there. Is there anywhere close to this area (besides Mae Sot) that could be a good, quick, cheap option? I know Myanmar border crossings are somewhat difficult in certain areas, especially for foreigners. Any advice on the best and most price efficient route would be great :) Thanks.

Mae Sot / Myawaddy has been closed to foreigners for a few months, so that leaves Mae Sai / Tachilek in the far north, Ranong / Kawthong in the south, and several options to Laos and Cambodia. So logistically best aim for a Poipet/Cambodia run via Bangkok or plan further travels to Laos or Malaysia in the next 5-6 days.

Sorry probably it's bid retry. I'm in Cambodia at the moment and wanna go back to Thailand. Can I obtain any new visa in Aranya Prathet? My previous Thai visa was canceled when I left Thailand at the same border crossing. I have a fly ticket attesting I'm gonna leave Thailand until one week and citizenship of Czech Republic.
Thanks for any helpful information!

If you were granted visa exemption before then you should get it again but only for 15 days (which should be enough for a week).

Unfortunately I didn't. So there isn't another options except go to Thai embassy in Phnom Penh for a visa or fly there?
