RE post 313. So what? Does this mean that one can keep on getting visas without limit or does the 6 month ban still hold? What about entering on a different passport? Is that illegal? They say you cannot enter with the same passport but what if one does so with a different passport, as in if one has dual citizenship? Thanks.

Might you be mixing visas up with visa exempt stamps? The 90 day in 180 day visa exempt rule no longer applies.

What about entering on a different passport?

Irrelevant if you are referring to visa exempt entry.. You get your 30 days when you arrive by air and 15 days when crossing overland.

There is not and never has been any such ban if using visa entry. The old rule was only for visa exempt entry and was not more than 90 days in a six month period. That has been rescinded when the new rules came out making land entry 15 days. There is no limit on visa or visa exempt entry.

So, according to post number 316, I can return to Thailand next month and not be denied entry, even though I spent 3 months here and did 2 visa runs via air to Cambodia......is this correct? Because, as I mentioned, some say the 'old rules' apply - i.e. no more entries until 6 months have passed - and some say that they no longer apply. That is what I need to know beyond a doubt. Thanks very very much.

There is no limitation on entry using visa exempt now. There never was any limitation on entry if you obtained a visa first. So if you can not believe me obtain a tourist visa first (which is free currently) and will provide a longer stay than the 15 days you get with a land crossing.

I will be entering Thailand from cambodia by land and then exploring the north of thailand before going into laos for around 14 days.. then coming back from Laos by land in north thailand going south to the beaches and possibly malaysia.

Would i be able to get a 90 day double entry VISa in cambodia or somthing?

Vientiane is currently the best choice to obtain a two entry tourist visa.

so i guess it would be easier to maybe just go to bangkok to obtain the double entry visa before going up to Laos.

Here is an interesting comment/take on the 15 day issue from Stickman's site (look at entry after the ad for Walen school near the bottom of site) - Stickman

Great answers, but my predicament is that my flight back to Montreal leaves in 9 hours, so I do not have time to go to immigration etc., ... so, that being said, and it also having been said that I stayed here for 3 months on a regular tourist visa - the kind good for 30 days and that you can renew 2 more times by flying to Laos - can I return to Thailand before 6 months and do so with the same type of visa and not be turned away. Thank you and I hope I was clear this time ... I have a tendency to overelaborate and go off ......
