Is there a limit to the number of 15-day overland visa runs you can do?
Thanks!

The rule of maximum 3 entries was abolished with the introduction of the present visa rules, now 5? years ago.
However, whether or not you'll be allowed in depends on the immigration officer, so after 3-4 I would recommend a different way to enter the country.

Hi
I am a Myanmar citizen and what to visit Bangkok through Tachileik ie by land - crossing Myanmar Thai border.
do i need a passport?
Thai visa ?
use border pass and extension? does it work?
help please.
^^You can only extend a visa-exemption (15 days by land entry) by 7 days at Thai immigration (for 1900 baht). If you need more time get a tourist visa at the Thai consulate in Laos (Vientiane, Savannakhet). Overstaying costs 500 baht/day and is not recommended (worst scenario you may end up at the Bangkok detention center/jail and forced to buy an emergency flight out).

Apologies if this has been asked already and thank-you for your help. I plan to return to Thailand overland from Lao (Pakse) and know I will 15 days (UK passport). If I want to stay in Thailand longer can I apply for a visa/extension from within Thailand? If not and I overstay what are the ramifications and costs?
Thank-you.

Ok. Being a euro/american/canadian/australian/etc
If my flight dates are over 30 days in and out of bkk I need a 60 day tourist visa prior to departure or I will not be allowed on the plane or let into Thailand?
If I fly into bkk on Jan 1 and out on Feb 10 and plan on being in Laos for 3 weeks. I need a 60 day visa or I cannot board the plane?
I fly into bkk and out 7 months later on a big tour around SE Asia most of which is outside of Thailand. I cannot board the plane as it is impossible to get a 7 month visa?
I get a visa prior to departure. Do I have to activate it on arrival to bkk or can I use my 30 day exempt and use the visa later when re entering the country at a land boarder or airport?
Sorry, 78 pages is a bit much to search. Thanks for the advise.

You may not be allowed on the plane.

You don't need a 7 month visa, single entry is enough to meet the entry requirements.

You can activate your visa later and enter the country visa exempt the first time, provided the immigration official co-operates. No guarantees there, but will probably be possible.

You forgot to say WHERE you were flying from ? . As Steven said it may be 50 - 50 chance whether the check in crew would make an issue of the ticket being longer than 3O days - depends on how much knowledge they have about the real situation of Thai immigrattion not checking on arrival.
If you are flying from another Asian country probably won't have a problem , if flying from America , Australia etc it may be safer to get a visa or have enough funds to buy refundable ticket out that is within the dates at the airport .
You DON'T have to search 78 pages , just read the summaries on this PAGE as well as Capt Bob's links.
It has been pointed out on this thread and others that you need to show proof of leaving Thailand within 30 days; this includes being on a tour. Do you have tour documentation showing when you will be leaving Thailand? This should be enough. Poster 'Friendly Checkin Girl' says this might not be as widely known as it should be so insist on it.
BTW - have you asked the tour company about this?
