Hi Guys,
Could you write me what is the best way to get from Bangkok to Koh Samui?
I already know that from Bangkok to Surat Thai there is the train.
My question is basically how to get from Surat Thai train station to Koh Samui?
I am backpacker with low-budget so will be appreciate for some economical tips how to travel to Koh Samui.

Lomprayah will take you by bus / catamaran combo to Samui as well as Tao and Phangan - cheap and efficient directly from KSR.

What is KSR?
And what does it mean 'cheap'? Could give exact price for transfer from Surat Thai station to Koh Samui?

KSR = Khao San Road - a popular backpacker area for accomodation in Bangkok.

Lomprayah will take you all the way from Bangkok to Samui, no need to go to Surat Thani. Prices are on the link I gave you.

Unfortunately I will not be able to use Lomprayah and combo ticket because they have departure to Koh Samui at 12.30 and I will be landing in Bangkok at 13.00 I need to take some evening train to Surat Thai I quess. And later try to find some connection to ferry place.

The Lomprayah site is down just now, but I'm pretty sure they have an evening departure from Bangkok.

btw, I already gave the Lomprayah link and said what KSR is in post #3 on your other thread.

OP, you have Ben told multiple times to buy a combo ticket to the island when you buy your train ticket. That will include a bus to the pier and the ferry. Buses are waiting at the railway station to take you. Honestly, you can't miss them.

OP, try www.busonlineticket.co.th I rely on this website all the time. There are bus, train, and ferry tickets. So basically, everything you need is at this one-stop portal.

What is KSR---Ah the innocence of a first time traveler to Thailand--I still love it when I go ,but that first time can never be repeated--Enjoy

PS-You could always just get a place for the first night and go fresher the next day.
