Ok here's the plan we are going to Thailand in August and staying in Krabi on Tubkaek beach and also looking at Phuket too. The travel company messed up with our flights and has booked us to fly to Phuket hence the change of itinery!! We will be there 23 days so thinking of 3 days at water park resort as we have a 3 and 10 year old, 10 days in Krabi and then maybe another week in Phuket. Is there anywhere else anyone would recommend that's easy to get to on ferry and beautiful and peaceful and good for kids but not full of kids if you know what I mean!!

We were thinking maybe Phi Phi but last went over 15 years ago and a bit worried we would be dissappointed! Any ideas please?

Thanks

Kerrie

It is wet season on the West coast in August. Don't book places in advance (1) you won't need to (2) you should stay flexible. If the weather is too bad, you can head over to the East side (Koh Tao, Ko Phangnan, Ko Samui) where it should be better.

Phi Phi's South East and East coast are fairly quiet, but check how rough the seas are before taking a boat there . with children.

I don't think there will be much choice in ferries in the Andaman during monsoon. I agree with #1, you should head to the Gulf - Tao, Phangan and Samui.

Every group has its own dynamics, if you can't see the idiot then it's probably you.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think :-D

Agree head to the gulf coast, or certainly don't book anything and check the weather it can be pretty wet, maybe not so bad without kids, but with is a different matter.
