Hello! Can anyone comment on how accessible Suratthani airport might be early on a Tuesday morning? I have a flight departing at 9:00 am and I need to drop off car rental at airport beforehand. After doing the same deal at Chiang Mai airport today, I’m concerned about traffic. Thank you!

Justbe aware that Suratthani airport is 17 km outside Surathani town..
Traffic should not be a problem. But will the car rental be open??
Rental cars to the departures is a 5 minute walk

Thanks for the info! They (Avis) open at 7:00am and my drop-off is scheduled for 7:00am. Domestic flight (to DM) departs at 9:00am. I’m driving in from Kao Sok super early in the morn, so that’s not an issue if airport located outside the town proper. Oy! I hope this goes smoothly...what could possibly go wrong? :)

Oh.. No problem then... Leave about 0530 from khoa sok... You dont even have to go into surat.. Just follow signs for phunpin and airport

Another thing I always do is ask the hire place where the nearest petrol station is located so that you can fill up before dropping off the car.
