Hello....

I've never been to either, but is there any ferry service etc or what is my best bet to get from Samui to Koh Chang. Not too sure on the distance.

Also, does any recommend the elephant programs on Koh Chang.

Ko Chang ,Trat province ,is maybe 500 miles by sea from Samui ,so there is no boat connection .

It's actually about half that, approx 300 miles. No boat though.

You could fly Samui to U-tapao ( Pattaya) on Bangkok Airways and then minibus from Pattaya to KC if you didnt want to go overland all the way back to Bkk and then on to KC.

Baan Kwan Chang is the best elephant camp on KC. Up in the jungle well away from people. Worth a visit, either rent a motorbike and head their on your own and hang out, feed the elephants or do a trek. ( There's no tacky souvenirs on sale or crap like that. ) or arrange an elephant trek through your resort.
