Hi Hi! Does anyone have first hand experience with using a private transfer in Thailand? I need early morning ride from Khao Sok NP to Surat Thani Airport to catch a flight -- can't be late! I've been looking online and come up with "Thailand Tours" as an option for about $80usd. Price seems fine, but I'm more concerned about the reliability. Any feedback/recommendations?? Thanks so much! LINDA

I would have thought that your guest house in Khoa Sok could arrange something. It may be a songthaew, but it should be much cheaper than $80.

Also I would rather book something from point of departure than be waiting for someone from somewhere to arrive.

....yes, true. It's super early morning, so I'm a bit nervous. but, yes, I think best to arrange when I arrive. Thanks!

I just returned from Thailand and as another post mentioned, it's best to arrange it when you get there. The Taxi for hire is available in every city. Provided you pay upfront, they are ready to go at a moment's notice. One thing I did experience is that every other form of public transport was habitually late so give yourself enough time to get there.
