Hi there

I am going to be visiting South East Asia between June and September, I have most of my itinerary sorted out, with the exception of 10 days in August. I am planning on arriving in Phuket, August 8th visiting Phuket, Karabi and Koh Phi Phi, before I fly from Phuket to Indonesia on August 18th, I just have a couple of questions:

What is the best order to visit the three places?
Is it cheaper to book hotels when I am out there or before I travel?
How much is the ferry to Koh Phi Phi?

Also, on another note I will be away for about 114 days, how many bottles of insect repellent would you recommend I take?

In that case, Krabi--Phi Phi-- Phuket to save backtracking. Insect repellant you can buy there. Sketolene is a good one available everywhere in Thailand. Not sure about Indonesia. Perhaps ask on that branch whats available.

10 days- I'd give P P a day trip at most, or just one night if necessary to move on. Whichever end you start from, you have to leave from Phukit, but as Westwood says, P P is in the middle.
I'm sure you don't intend staying in Krabi town, so you'd better research which beach you want to stay on.

No need to book any accommodation then.

Thanks for the help, I must say this will be my first time travelling by myself. I I am tempted with either Pra Nang, Poda or Railay. I just really want to chill out and relax in these days no fuss or hassle. Which one would you recommend out of the three or would you recommend another beach altogether?

The best practice would be Phuket - Phi Phi and then from the island you can take ferry to Krabi. I'd like to recommend staying at Railay beach, lovely.

Thank you GotoPhuket, is it best to book the ferry before I travel or when I arrive in Phuket? Also how much is the average nightly rate for hostels in Railay Beach?
