I would love some insight on the Phi Phi Islands...

Is it possible to enjoy this Island and avoid the partying/tourist scene? Is going to Phi Phi worth the visit if you are just looking for great beaches, nature, an island to explore & some time to relax? Or is it really the overrated tourist trap that many reviews say it is?

I would stay for 5 nights at the Bayview Resort, let me know what you think.

Thanks!

The East coast is pretty quiet.

Also the South East corner (long beach) is more about the 'family' crowd than the partiers, so is quiet-ish.

Just avoid Ton Sai.

There are some nice, long forest walks and lovely scenery if you want to do that.

Okay that’s so crazy! Yeah I’ve seen and heard Tonsai has been completely taken over, But I’ve also heard there’s still amazing parts of the island not as developed and crazy.

I went there in 1987, and that photo fills me with horror. Lovely looking in a holiday brochure, but absolutely not my cup of tea. It could be anywhere.
