My husband and I are planning to visit Phi Phi during the first week of Oct. We're a bit apprehensive about the weather. Is it true that it rains almost everyday and are the seas really that bad? Would you advise us to cross from Phuket or Krabi? We're looking to book at the Phi Phi Villa Resort. Does anyone have any feedback on it? The resort looks nice on the internet plus they offer good off-season rates.

There was arecent discussion of this just a few screens down. Does it rain almost every day? Maybe? Does it rain all day? Usually not. Are the seas really that bad? Generally not. I was there last Oct and did kayaking and snorkelling trips around PP and it wasn't too rough for that. It's not uncommon for a thunderstorm to kick in around late afternoon, but certainly had plenty of sun too. I say "no worries".
