Nice Hotels in Bangkok - recommendations?

We are travelling to Bangkok in about three weeks and are looking for a good hotel that is pretty close to the city. Looking to spend about $100-150 a night australian, about 3,000-4,000 BHT, and just looking for any recommendations. I know that there is some great accom. out there that is a lot cheaper, however, we really wanted to splurge on this trip.

HI

Like yourself I like nice hotels.
I know of two good 4 star hotels, will be staying at both myself in a few weeks.
They are the Pathumwan Princess & Majestic Grande Hotel
I have stayed at both before and love them, I know though that they don't have alot of rooms available at the moment.

Novatel siam square is great. Lanmark i good but more expensive. Novatel Lotus is also good and all three anre next to the sky train.

Both hotels I recommended are also near the skytrain aswell
