I have got a cheap flight from australia to Kuala Lumpur, But i need to get a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Koh Samui can any one help with budget airlines that fly in asia and between these routes? can i fly fly directly to Koh Samui or would i have to make another stop?
thank you

Be aware that Berjaya don't do e-tickets. You reserve the ticket online without paying and then pick it up from an agent in KL or Samui.
Also be aware that the plane I flew on was a very old prop-plane and it flies in/out of Subang Airport in KL not the KLIA (International Aiport) or LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal). Subang is pretty easy to get to though. Closer to the city than the others.

Both Berjaya and Firefly fly out of Subang airport in KL to Samui.
Subang is abt 35rm taxi from the city center and abt 55rm from the fixed price taxi counter at KLIA (I think there is a similar set-up at LCCT)
You can get there cheaper by public transport but more time consuming.

Oh yeah, and you can pick your ticket up from the office at the terminal at Subang for Berjaya.

Hi Guys,
Thanks to all for your advices. I'm traveling to Thailand for the first time, so it's a big help. Anyway, I'm looking for the same flight just the other way around Ko Samui - Kuala Lumpur. Now I have checked this Firefly and as I would be flying in Dec 08 there would be a direct flight to Subang. Now here it comes, my stupid question: Subang means Kuala Lumpur? I see that on the map of Firefly it says Kuala Lumpur via Subang. I'm just wondering if I buy a flight Ko Samui-Subang, will I end up in Kuala Lumpur? :)
Thanks for your responses :)

Yes... Subang airport is the old KL airport... quite close to (east of) the city.....
They specify Subang to make people aware that it's not KLIA.
The new airport (KLIA with the LCC terminal as part of it).. is further from (south of) the city...
Your alternative option would be to fly AirAsia to Phuket or Krabi.. then make you way overland... to Surat Thani.. then boat to Samui.
