hello all! looking for reservations for hostels/hotels in any islands (that you think are most worth going to) besides koh tao and Phuket (already have hotels planned out)

we are thinking of phi phi / krabi... but open to whatever would be best. staying with my boyfriend so not looking for a dorm style room. also do not want to spend over $100 (ideally over $75/night)

thanks so much everyone :)

Plenty plenty of very nice rooms on all islands in the 1000-1500 baht range.., with hot water and a/c. Suggest you lower your range....No reason to ever spend more than $50

$100 is a lot. I only get private rooms with bath and I have never paid more than $30 in Thailand. $30 is on the far end of the scale. 90% of the time, I don't pay more than $20.

Krabi is a province and a town not an island. So Nang and Railay have nice rooms starting at 1000 baht.

"have never paid more than $30 in Thailand. $30 is on the far end of the scale"

$30 doesnt go far in high season or on islands. Most rooms are above 1000 baht/$30.

Plenty of rooms $30 or under on the islands. For example right now on Phi Phi listed through booking.com there are 45 or so rooms listed for $30 or under. Many places don't list online. For Phi Phi I always just wander about until I find a place. Never paid more than $30.

Yes but 1 star places aren't what a lot of people want. They want to enjoy themselves not penny pinch.

I guess it depends what kind of traveler you are. The one that hangs out in your room all the time or one that spends most of their waking hours outside the room. I've known people that go somewhere and then never leave the hotel complex. I on the other hand, really only sleep in my room.

Regardless, they aren't all 1 star. Here's a 3 star and if you book it today, $27/night. Looks pretty nice to me.

It looks ok except a reviewer said its a 160 stair climb. That would be tiring everyday.

Another said the bed was horrible and the rooms had paper thin walls.

Also far from beach.
