Hiya,

I have found accomodation on Koh Phi Phi until 19/12 at the hotel Phi Phi, does anybody know what this hotel is like?

I will also have 3 nights to fill before heading up to Hua Hin for xmas with family. Can anyone recommend anywhere to go? I was thinking about Railay but I dont want to book anything before I go. Do you thing I will struggle finding walk in accomodation the week before xmas. Any ideas where I can try?

If Railay is going to be too busy, any other ideas? im planning on getting the bus/train back to Hua Hin 22/12

I think you will find it hard to find somewhere walk-in at Railay in peak-peak. Not so if you stay in Krabi town.
I would be tempted to jump on a ferry at PP for Ko Lanta. Lots of accommodation there, although once again it's going to be busy. I'm sure there will be touts at the pier and maybe on the ferry offering places and transport to them, even at that time of year.
Another alternative is Ko Jum, but this requires either two ferry trips or hire of a longtail - expensive. I have a fair bit of info about these places in the second link below.

Hell, Viewpoint certainly looks nice on the website! This is an old established place which has steadily headed upmarket over the years. Good position with both gorgeous Phra Nang and West Railay only about 10 minutes walk away, and lots of different restaurants to check in the vicinity.
