Koh Samui- choosing a location

We are a couple with a little boy going on a vacation in Koh Samui. We want to rent a private house and now are trying to choose between different locations we were offered.
We are looking for quite yet interesting place with nice, not too crowded beach.
Until now we have offers for:

ban thale-south
town of Nathon-west
Bo Phut Beach
Big Buddha Beach
Bangrak

Can you please help me to choose/ let me know your opinion on those locations

Chaweng is the only nice beach I have seen on Samui even though it's crowded. The other beaches are all too grainy. However I have heard there is one other quieter beach that has nice soft sand. I'm sure somebody will fill you in. I went all the way around the island on a motorbike and never found nice sand anywhere other than Chaweng.

Bo Phut and Big Buddha are quiet and enjoyable, but yes grainy. Chaweng has the nicest beach, but is crowded and the you'll be surrounded by the nightlife.
