We are visiting Thailand for our honey moon and in 2 weeks time we will be staying in Phuket for 4 days and wanted to do some snorkeling, from what I gather a lot of people opt to go with a day tour to Phi Phi however I hear that the waters are not so clear, coral is damaged, bleached and some areas are off limits.
I discovered another island Koh Racha and I have heard that the water is clearer and the snorkeling is good too, basically my wife really can't wait to go snorkeling with fish and see some coral and there is so many views on who to go with or where to go to.
Is a tour the only way to get to Racha as there is only 2 of us we did not want to charter a boat, any suggestions for tour companies as we don't wish to be on an overcrowded boat from what I have read some companies do this.
Any other advice is much appreciated
