does anybody know how late the ferries run from the mainland?
(....and is it any good? can't handle anymore Koh Samet type islands!)
Also, can you travel direct from Langkawi in Malaysia?

Koh Lipe is stunningly beautiful and quiet. Porn Bungalows is on a quiet and pretty little beach but the bungalows are basic. The island is easily walked around with a variety of bungalow styles. I heard no music at all.
You can go from Langkawi to Satun, and then to Koh Lipe, I think the boats go around 12 noon, no later than 2pm, but sorry am not 100 percent sure on this.

i m actually in thailand, i spent 15 days in ko lipe during christmas holidays,sorry but in that time it was very busy, pattaya beach, the main,there are 3 or 4 bar with loud music ,you can hear it everywhere,i dont like the beach porn bungalow ,the water it isn t not so clear, i like sunlight beach ,more quiet but more windy and with ko adang view, andamane resort, mountain resort (incredible view),coco resort etc., it s up on your budget , anyway the noisy longtail boat are everywhere.From trang and krabi you can take a agency minibus,direct to pakbara dock.We got the speed boat at one o clock but you have to check.ciao
