Might be an idea to check the DONT BE MISLEAD BY THE WEATHER FORECASTS section of the wet weather link below.
This is the rainy season in Asia. Usually in Thailand that means you might get the odd very wet day, or more often just a few hours of light drizzle.

cheers .bloody msn weather say its raining all day everyday, whereas wheather underground say storms and then clear.i know its worse in oct and partic november but hope for a few hours a day of sun.its for the misses,i hate the sun and by conincidence i was in HOSPITAL today in poland because of dehydration.what a time to ask about weather!!

To get some idea of the weather in September you might monitor this site http://www.tmd.go.th/en/weather_report_3hour.php?StationNumber=48550 which shows Samui weather in 3 hour blocks.
It no doubt will have changed by the time you look, but for the past 24 hours at time of writing it seems to have rained lightly in one 3 hour block and drizzled lightly in 2 others - all at night. The rest have had no rain.
The cloud column can be misleading. Interpretation:
Overcast - 100% cloud or near
Very cloudy - more cloud than sun
Cloudy - fairly equal mixture of clould and sun
Partly cloudy - more sun than cloud
Fair - sunny, no or little coud.
Samui is fine right now, there's a lot of voercast but hardly any rain. Check my Samui weather blog, first link below, for daily updates.

Results from the past are no garantee for the future, but almost no rain on Samui, last month.
Mostly sunny, sometimes a bit overcast en a small shower here and there.
The weather on Samui is impossible to predict though.
It can change totally within 10 minutes.
