If I turn up at BKK airport with some bulbs in my bag will I get any trouble? We are only talking about a few for personal use in my own garden.

As long as you don't eat them, in front of the officer, you will be OK

Have dopne it quite a few times without problems.
No luck with the bulbs though, somehow the climate does not seem ideal here on Phuket.

BKK won't care, but the Netherlands might when you get back. Check first.

Only after putting them in the ground and expecting them to actually grow and flower. :-)

Hint: They don't. It's just too warm.

MAYBE if you would get special bulbs that are pre-programmed to flower in January instead of the usual March-April AND if you plant them high up in the North, preferably a mountain area, then MAYBE it would work. Still you'd have to cover them up during the day.

Chanchao
