Myself and my friend are visiting Koh Samui for 4 nights in May for her birthday and we are looking to stay in a good quality hotel (preferably 4*) that is near a nice beach and is no more than 3,883.27 THB (£80) a night per room. Any recommendations?

I recommend Tango Beach Resort. It's within your budget, in a good location in north Chaweng, just far enough away from all the noise and right on the beach.

I like The Imperial Boathouse which should just about fall into your price bracket if you hunt around for deals - the boat suites are very nice and something entirely different from hotel rooms. It's on Cheong Mon beach which is my favourite and in my eyes nicest beach on Koh Samui.

Every group has its own dynamics, if you can't see the idiot then it's probably you.
