February in Phuket, Ko Phi Phi and Ko Lanta - reservations?

Hi,

Me and my boyfriend are grabbing a flight to Phuket in February for a couple of weeks of relax time. I'll reserve us a hotel for 2-4 days on Karon beach but would not want to tie us any more to one destination. We might stay the whole 2 weeks in Karon but we might go to Raylay/Phi Phi/Lanta. Will we be able to get accomodation on short notice in those places? This is a short holiday and we want to relax so we are ready to pay 1000-3000 Baht for an A/C room.

What do you think? Will we be able to make spur of the moment decisions and still get decent accomodation?

Things are starting to get slack in February........you should be able to get pretty much whatever you want.......just going with the flow.

Saw a recent post from Lanta saying things right now are quieter than normal - plenty of vacancies. So I reckon you may be okay unless you have your eye on a SPECIFIC place.
Don't shy from using touts on ferries and piers who can show you pix, are up for bargaining and can usually lay on free transport from the pier.
