Hi there all,

I'm wondering if any of you can offer tips or advice on booking dental work in on Koh Samui.
My partner and I need six crowns between us, plus while we're at it, would probably take advantage of some teeth whitening services.

We're travelling to Thailand as a family in August this year and our questions regarding the dental part of our trip (hopefully a small part only !) were:

  1. Is it best to book in to a dentist ahead of time?
  2. Any recommendations for a dentist on Koh Samui?

Muchos gracias,

The Fan Clan

Hi, my partner and I are looking at doing the same thing in Phuket.

Google "My Body and Spirit" its an Australian Travel Agent that
specialises in dental and cosmetic surgery in Thailand. Lots of
good information, what it costs and what you can do whilst you
are being treated.

We are looking at going to Thailand mid July, sort out the dental
side plus get a lovely holiday thrown in for good measure.

Hope this helps.

Since over 12 years I already live on Samui and I always use Dr. Jimmy nowadays opposite Tesco Lotus in Chaweng, on the ring road, if facing Lotus, opposite the left hand road entrance, where the little roundabout is. Phone 077 447 519 Open every day between 8.30-18.00 better to make a reservation first.

There are however dozens of other dental clinics around the island. Pending on where you stay you may want to look into a clinic a bit closer to your resort.

i would be careful about dentists, try to find a really experienced on in the city. The young inexperienced come looking for the easy med tourism dollars.

Aurin, over 12 years is not experienced? Dr. Jimmy had a clinic since a few years before I started to live on Koh Samui. Oh, and before I forget, Samui has city rights, so he ticks both your boxes.
All the new not experienced dentists live outside cities? What kind of logic do you follow?

In Kerala you get local made zircon crown from about $150, how much is it on Samui?

All deference to limbo, but I wouldn't be spending major bucks on dental work on Samui. For that sort of work it would have to be Bkk.

Great arguments Aurin, you're really supporting your case.

Thaibeachlover, up to the OP where she gets her teeth done, if they stay on Samui, there's good clinics here.
