Declining Visitors to the Kingdom?

Going back to the OP question, I think it's the same for every branch, I hang out on the Gap year branch as I have for years and some days theres hardly any posts at all, i dont think that people are stopping coming to Thailand , quite the reverse rerally.

If you live in the UK, then you are constantly bombarded with negative images in the media, everything is "Doom and Gloom " and we are all going top die in poverty,utter bullshit but many believe it and people arent travelling as much as they did.For sure they are not logging on to the TT to plan their next trip because they aint planning their next trip.

I agree about the moderation on the branch as well, i miss arguing with Professor fart and Kananga, and I remember when you were driving a London Cab back in London Millwall fan,thought you were a right wing facist back in those days but at least you made it to live in Thailand.

Next person who moans about Thailand ain't what it used to be gets a slap.

33 - no dude, cows go for about $500 now. AFAIK you need to use a rocket launcher, not an AK. I've heard the range operators deliberately mis-set the sights on the rocket launcher so you miss the cow!

also thailand is more of a mid range diestination than a backpackers haven, even crappy old backpacker ghetto pha ngan has more mid range and upscale resorts.

backpackers are going to india or other sea destinations more. they dont like nice aircon rooms at 1000 baht. they want $3 rattholes.
