Fly to Surat Thani as in #3 above. The Surat Thani airport is about 80km from the Don Sak ferry port (easy transfer w/bus or taxi) then ferries run to Samui (1.5hrs) until about 7pm. Weather on Samui (or Ko Phangan) is usually pretty good during July.
