My friends and I are staying in Koh Tao and have to get from there to Koh Samui to fly out at 11.30am, however there are no boats that leave Koh Tao before 9.30 and get to Samui at 11.30 (which is obviously too late). I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with the ferries/boats between these islands. Are there any private boats that go that far, to Samui? Or any other tips or ideas for what we can do? Thanks so much in advance!

The obvious is to travel to Samui the day before.
No problem to rent a private speedboat, but you better hit the ATM first.

Expect prices from 10000+ to 25000 BHT depending on the size of the boat!
I think they will throw in a free breakfast.
