1st post - does anyone know the best way from Phi Phi to Koh Samui?
I read the FAQ re buses but the 'English' part of the bus website is currently down.
I assume it goes something like this: Boat from Phi Phi to somewhere then Bus to Donsak then boat to Samui?
I've heard VIP bus is the best and takes ~ 6 hours. Does the bus depart from Patong / Phuket Town?

Reason I don't write it down here is that it is pretty lengthy with a few warnings about rip-off operators.
This is a very long trip, and can be difficult to achieve in one day. Plenty of operators will sell you a ticket (or actually a combiation of tickets), but maybe consider breaking the trip, of flying from Phuket.
There are flights from Krabi Airport to Samui Airport (~$85 one way). Is it possible to get boat from Phi Phi to Mueang Krabi / Sai Thai then taxi to airport?
Would go for the over-land effort but not sure I want to waste 6+ hours on a bus...
