Anyone know the name of the huts / resorts located on Had Yao in photos listed above... http://backpackinasia.com/rkophangan.htm ...looking more at the cheaper ones on the rocks than the red roof ones ?
Also where is bottle beach?
My girlfriend and I are headed to island for Christmas looking to experice full moon party but also be somewhere reasonably nice too ...my girlfriend and i are 33 and kinda past the full on party scene but still wish to experice full moon party on 25th Dec.
Any advice appreciated.

Sorry I don't know the name but the next beach clock wise if it was a round, was cool, I liked it there was some nice cheap huts, good nightlight and handsome sandwich shop you can get food at 4am, the locals were nice, there was a place to eat right on the other side of the road from handsome and it was nice family and the more you eat there the more you love their food !

roscoepeko ,
The bungalows you saw at my pictures are called Blue Coral Bungalows. I am talking about the blue roofed ones, their pictures were taken from my terrace. It is located at the northern end of Haad Yao beach. It is on the rocks, not directly at the beach. Rooms are really cheap, last time I went there I paid about 200 baht for a double bed bungalow, about 1.5 year ago. It is run by a really friendly family, and the owner is a great cook as well, nice and cheap food. Really friendly and nice place to stay. But if you are going for full moon party, probably you should book in advance just in case.
And Bottle Beach is at the north-eastern top of the island. East of Ao Chaloklum.
Hope this helps.
