Bad weather in central and southern Thailand?

Can anybody tell me how the weather is at the islands in central and southern Thailand (Kho Samui, Phuket area, Surin Islands, Similan islands)?
Lokals says it is allright; weather forecasts says cloudy and rainy and the forecasts have been right about cloudy weather in Bangkok and Hua Hin last three days.

Eastern side (Gulf) is in monsoon season (towards the end of it).

Andaman 'should' be dry this time of year but has recently been suffering localised weather system which has mostly gone now.
