Hi,

Which one of the 2 hotels you would recommend for a family of 4, 2 adults, 1 child of 4 and 1 of 16 months ?
We can't decide as both seems very nice.

Thanks a lot for your advises and experiences.

I would not recommend Baan Taling Ngam resort (the new name for 'Le Royal Meridien') because it is very expensive.
The bay of Taling Ngam is nice (beautiful sunsets) but it is not a good place to swim and it is in the middle of nowhere.
Nathon 10 km, Lamai 20 km, Chaweng 30 km. You need a car to go around.

Central Beach Resort is a big expensive place in central Chaweng, if I am right.

There are much better options in Maenam, Bophut, Choeng Mon, Lamai.

Hi Louvan,

Thanks for your reply.
Do you have specific names on these other places ? Because I have been looking on hotels for weeks now and they all or more or less seem great.

Thank you anyway.

Specially with small children I would chose Smile House in Bophut. It is close to Fishermans Village and family orientated.

Samui is deserted at the moment. The (very big) Royal Meridien have 2 guests. I live next door.
No need to book in advance, or maybe for a couple of days.
Bophut: Smile house is OK
Maenam: Lolita bungalows
Lamai: Samui-Wanta resoretc.
Have a look at www,sawadee.com
No need to book through this site.
