Can anbody recommend a place to stay on Phi Phi island. Roughly around the 500 bhat price

Phi Phi is generally the most expensive place in Thailand so be prepared. A place called "The Rock" has some of the cheapest rooms, but is a 10-min. walk to Ao Lo Dalam (the nearest beach). Prices go way up during Nov-Feb so depends on your timeframe. It's a mainly 2000+ baht island for anything nice. I'm sure some cheap-cheapies know somewhere but you'll have to search. Phi Phi is beautiful but crowded, and it comes at a price. Ko Lanta is a much better semi-budget option with killer sunsets and more elbow room.

You aint got a prayer of paying 500 Bhat on Phi Phi as the chap obove says. It is tiny and popular so hotels even 'cheap' ones can charge accordingly with demand !!

Look at the prices on travelfish. Not always accurate but you can get an idea.
