Are you staying in Krabi town or just Krabi area? My wife and I just returned from staying at the Railay Bay Resort on Railay West. It was amazing with great views and service. They have a brand new pool on the beach where you can lay on their lounge chairs overlooking the beach. You can go for a quick dip in the ocean and then back at the pool, order drinks from the servers or take a couple minute walk to buy cheap beers and food from the convenience stores and food vendors. We upgraded and got a great room for 5,100 baht but they also offer private bungalows for 3,000 baht. If you reserve the bungalow, request a room closer to the west side as the east side rooms can hear the electricity generator of the neighboring resort.
Check out their website or pm me if you want some other pictures. We wanted to stay on Phi Phi for a couple nights but all the decent hotels were booked and we were very happy for staying an extra couple nights on Railay!

I have decided to stay in Ao Nang for a couple of days and do some sightseeing from there. Then stay maybe another 2 or three nights in West Railay.
AlohaStyle, thanks for the recommendation of Railay Bay Resort. We won't stay in Krabi town itself at all, maybe have a quick look when we arrive. Sorry, should have been more specific on my initial post.
After that we are heading to Phi Phi, I have booked Holiday Inn, I thought why not splurge a little and just relax on our last leg of our trip. We are getting a beachfront bungalow at Holiday Inn so should be nice (I hope).
I will definitely PM you for some pictures.
Thanks,
Renae
