My Travel is to Philippines and then to Thailand. I have a work meeting in Thailand in early Jan, however I wanted to visit friends and family in the Philippines before the work meeting. The best option was Thai airways for the quickest flight and cheapest option by $1000 NZD. This meant a long stopover in Bangkok before Manila. We'l be flying back to NZ from Bangkok.

The agent recommended these flights because of the time of travel and it works out to be the fastest and best in price

For your next trip I'd recommend you use a different travel agent.

Every group has its own dynamics, if you can't see the idiot then it's probably you.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think :-D

Having done NZ to Thailand then China back to Thailand then home with Thai, , I can understand the flight. At least yours is a decent arrival at Bangkok. Ours was 11.30pm with equally early flight out the next morning.

"As it's my first time to Bangkok and I'm not familiar with the airport I was hoping that experienced travels could recommend a place (affordable and decent) to stay close to the airport for the long layover."

For hotel help you should include a price range.

  • In post 17 there are hotel suggestions.

Good luck.
